Dr. Onlai Cheang, DAHM, L.Ac.

Dr. Onlai Cheang is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist based in Pasadena, California. Her practice focuses on skin health, hormonal imbalances, digestive concerns, and metabolic health, with an emphasis on personalized care through acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

My Background :

Growing up surrounded by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Dr. Onlai developed an early appreciation for its role in everyday health.  She went on to pursue formal education in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, earning her Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (DAHM) degree.

With years of experience practicing Chinese medicine, she brings a clinical depth that goes beyond the textbook, shaped by times spent treating patients in China and in her own practice. 

Clinical Training in China 

Dr. Onlai completed nearly a year of intensive clinical training in China, at the  First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and a leading orthopedic acupuncture clinic. Working alongside senior practitioners, she treated high volumes of patients daily across dermatology, endocrinology, gynecology, orthopedic, and internal medicine. 

My Approach to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Dr. Onlai believes good care starts with understanding the person, not just the diagnosis. She looks at how skin, hormones, digestion, and metabolism connect, and builds each treatment plan around that. 

Alongside acupuncture and herbs, she uses Tui Na, fire cupping, Gua Sha,  and moxibustion, ear seeding, as each patient needs. Appointments are available in person or as virtual herbal consultations.
